CHNCT recently sponsored an art contest at Parker Farms Elementary School in Wallingford. Students in grades three through five created posters representing the theme of the contest, “My Happy Place, What Being Healthy Means to Me.” The children drew and painted creative representations of parks, beaches, libraries, soccer and football fields, their homes, and more! There was one winner and two finalists selected per grade. Their artwork will be framed and displayed in our headquarters.
In recognition of the students’ hard work, Tressa Spears Jackson, vice president of Community Affairs and Corporate Communications, presented Principal Christina Sagnella and Art Teacher Sara Vumbaca, with a check for $2,500 for the benefit of the Parker Farms Art Department. We hope they enjoy selecting new tools to continue to enhance their students’ art experiences!
